A Bad NGO Worker

The meme creates a fictional list of everything that supposedly makes an NGO worker bad. Most of the items are actually ordinary signs of workplace independence.

Questioning power, refusing unpaid overtime and demanding fair wages are not failures of commitment. Neither are having hobbies, wearing comfortable clothes or supporting collective organising.

The joke exposes an old idea in mission-driven work: that people should sacrifice more because the cause is important. Meaningful work still requires boundaries. A worker can care deeply about social change and still expect dignity, pay and respect.
