Let's Discuss the Partnership First
The people need help. The ecosystem needs another meeting.
Collaboration is everywhere in the social sector. Organisations talk about partnerships, ecosystems, collective action and methods of working together. Sometimes that coordination is necessary.
But collaboration can become an end in itself. People facing an immediate problem may need someone to act while organisations spend weeks discussing roles, frameworks and partnership models.
Good collaboration should make action easier, not delay it. The question is simple: are we coordinating because it helps the people involved, or because coordination itself has become part of how the sector demonstrates seriousness?
