Not every joke is harmless just because people laughed.
Humour can challenge power, expose hypocrisy and make difficult ideas easier to discuss. But jokes can also normalise prejudice when they repeatedly target people because of gender, caste, disability, sexuality, region or identity.
The problem is not that every uncomfortable joke should disappear. Context matters. Power matters. Who is being targeted matters. So does what becomes normal when the same stereotype is repeated.
The meme asks us to treat humour with a little more care. Laughing is not always neutral. Sometimes a joke teaches us what to ignore, who to mock and whose dignity can be treated as entertainment.
